The greek philosopher Epikur once wrote the following: "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?" If God is almighty, omniscient, loving and affectionate - why is there so much suffering in this world? This and many more questions will be answered in this workshop. Using interaction we’ll use the last unit to formulate a bible study about the topic, so you can give biblical answers to people who deny that there is a God because of all the pain and suffering in this world.

The topics of the 4 units are:

   • The Origin of Pain and Suffering
   • The Answer to Pain and Suffering
   • The Justification of God
   • Working out a bible study
